week in review

well the reno was chugging along nicely, then we had rain. a big chunck of sand and soiul fell into the hole on top of the concrete slab, luckily the concrete was set enough there was no damage, just a little shovelling to clean it up. tehn we ordered bricks. and cemete for the mortar. and ended up with the wrong cement. general purpose stuff not mortar stuff. (shrug) i dunno the difference but it isnt right...
so then the hardware store is closed on sunday. but i said Oh well, u shouldnt be working at it on Sunday anyways. so nothing got one today on it.
i got a new flowering bush for mothers day from brian. YAY just got to decide where to plant the little sucker. i really need to have a GARDEN PLAN. as my gifts are all of the botanical variety just as i requested.
my birthday is in a few days and i got solar lanterns. the ones that look like little coach lanterns, that hang on mini sheppard hooks, toooo cute. i hope no one steals them. ill have to figure out a SAFE way to display them.
i organized my ribbons in my SCRAP AREA. so all at the tip of a finger with no more searching thru drawers of color coded BAGGIES.
Emily is cutting THREE new teeth at once (ouchie). trying to leap frog her brother who has had FOUR for some time now. Emily is a little WALKER now. 8 and 10 steps at a time. Ayden is learning too, 3 and 4 steps for him.
next week is a big one. a trip to the CITY (8 hours away) for dr. appointment... with stops at mom's and other relatives along the way to break up the trip.
MY birthday is next week. and BRIAN's is 4 days after that. My Grandmother is turning 90 on the 17th. We plan to have supper at my mom's house and invite her down.

food for thought

for the blog challenge i am asked about my food likes and dislikes

well I LIKE FOOD

I like pasta, any kind. lasagna, angel hair, shells in cheese, fettuccine, bowties with chicken, spaghetti and meat balls, red sauce white sauce, cheese sauce, garlic. yummy yummy pasta.

I like fruit. ALL FRUIT. i loved working in produce. yummy yummy fruit.

I like veggies most veggies, especially tomatoes. then broccoli, cauliflower, corn, peas. i never liked celery until i got pregnant, now i like it. i like most veggies except cooked carrots. i hate cooked carrots, they taste like dish soap to me.

i absolutely dread onion, raw onion doesnt belong in ANY food. i hate to be eating something soft like potato salad, and CRUNCH a piece of raw onion. BLECGHHHHH. dont dare put raw onion on my burger, mmmmmm burger, juicy and good and then CRUNCH... noooooooooooo. if you must use onion. cook it well, chop it fine, to fine to find. then maybe.

BUT, HMMMMM... how does a person who hates onion eat onion rings, I'll never know, it bewilders me, but i like onion rings with salt and vinegar

I'll never get to be a dentist but that's alright with me
I'll never get to own a palace but i'm happy wherever I'll be
I'll never get to run a ranch and be a real cowgirl
I'll never get to be the ruler of the whole wide world
I'll never get to win the nobel or the pulitzer prize
I'll never get to go back in time to my teenage size
I'll never get to live in Ireland or to live in Spain
But because I cant live there you wont hear me complain
I'll never get to travel to the far reaches of space
but i really do not want go, I'm happy with this place
I'll never get to marry for money and have millions to spend
but who needs all that money without a loving husband
I'll never get to own a porche or even a lamborgini
I'll never get to be addressed as Her Magesty and Queenie
But of all the things, " I'll never get to", I will not miss one thing
I'm happiest of all, with the life I have, and all the goodness that it brings

Today we start renos

we moved the shed a few days ago and now

today

the excavator is here. the dig has begun

the concrete step is gone.

they are removing enuf sand to put in a basement under the addition.

sooooooon i will have a bigger bedroom

sooooooon my babies will have their own rooms

sooooooon i will have a mess on my hands....

that is the GRRRRR part

last night my dishwasher gave out a new pump is $250 so we are just going to buy a new dishwasher and include a little small small reno in the kitchen with all the other renos, what is the difference of a little more mess when you have a big mess on your hands anyways

look at all that mud i will have to clean up in my house when people track it in. GRRRR

u see in the last pic the shape of the house, it will be squared off now. THIS is just the beginning. i'll try to keep updating as renos continue.
