It's TOO Easy

to find sex on the internet.

i hit that NEXT BLOG button at the top of the page. the first one that came up was about eating all natural food, and about stopping the use of pesticides and dyes.
next hit was SEXOBOOK, although i could not read the language, the pictures were worth a thousand words. mostly dirty words i guess... it was filled with graphic pictures of sexual positions and women kissing women. some pictues were mild while others made my stomach turn.
next hit was also in a different language. i have no idea what it was about.
next hit was about art, paintings and sculptures. i was very surprised to read a disclaimer at the top that warned content may not be suitable for younger viewers...
while visiting a few groups on a site like facebook, i check out random groups... i read on the WALL, advertisings for other sites, mosty X rated
enter any open chat board, even one rated PG, and you will find dirt.
when googling a recipe... sticky buns... thousands of XXX links come up
dont even try looking up Hot Cross Buns
i kno i kno there is a parental control setting on a computer to limit the sites with XXX rated material. but then i wouldnt have been able to read the newsletter on my fertility doctors webpage, to look up anything realted to breast cancer... u know, caution to the wind... leave my settings alone and brave the world wide web of explicit material. i dread when my children are old enuf to ask to use the computer. sheesh... i guess by then, there will be a virtual woman popping out of the screen asking if you would like her to perform a favor for you...

no such thing as keeping it behind the dark curtain at that back of the video store. now it is upfront for all to see.

I've been tagged by katrina http://katrinanz.blogspot.com/! So I guess that means, I have to tell you 6 interesting facts about myself, and then tag 6 new people! I can't wait to tag YOU!!!

1. i love to paint, draw, sketch, anything artistic.
2. i like to quilt, and have made multiple quilts and even sold a couple.
3. i have had the opportunity to pet a female lion and a tiger too at an animal sanctuary
4. i nearly drowned 3 times, but STILL have a fasination for water
5. i conquered my fear and taught myself to swim at age 15 because a friend's family invited me to florida and i didnt want anyone to know i didnt know how to swim
6. i am my daddy's little girl, and would rather be outside doing yardwork, or in the garage pounding nails and using powertools, than inside the house doing any housework or cleaning.

Sept 11, 2007 was not only the anniversary of the horrific, sneak attack on the World Trade Towers in New York City. but also the day my brother turned 23. i cant believe how he has grown, not my "baby" brother anymore, but now a man. he and his girlfriend are packing to go away to look for work and like most young men, he is Alberta Bound. I'll miss him.

Where was I on the day the Planes Crashed? I was working. at a grocery store, the A&P in Brampton Ontario. just a short drive from the city of Toronto. Toronto International Airport, where many planes were grounded, is very near the city limits of Toronto/Brampton. and planes are heard very clearly.

I was filing an apple display i think. when a boy around 8 or so asked me to turn the radio station to a news channel. i told him it was a cd shuffler and we didnt get radio stations. He told me a plane crashed into the pentagon. i didnt really believe it, (thinking he was imagining or seeing something from the other side of the world and being a child, creating his own story). I responded with "wow, that's amazing, huh" MINUTES later, the buzz in the store was like bees at a hive. people were trying to count planes circling over head and heading straight to their cars on coffee breaks to listen to the radio. We were in shock, but still hadnt SEEN anything, only hearing radio reports periodically and second and third hand information and rumours. EVERYONE was saying, there's gonna be a war after this. we were scared that the outcome would be WORLD WAR. and the end of the world was possible. (nuclear nuclear nuclear, buzz buzz buzz) i remember someone saying "You just dont attack the USA and get away with it, there will be Hell to pay."as soon as my shift was done i scurried home and turned on CNN. watching with my jaw to the floor the replay replay replay of the crashes. UNABLE to believe wht had happened.

STILL years later i cant believe what has happened.
I sure am glad there was no nuclear button threats.
but i will NEVER remember my baby brother's birthday the same. not as a cheerful fun day "for him", but one of gloom and sadness for all the "others", all the people left mourning family after Sept 11.
One Day i wish to visit New York City and pay tribute to those lives lost.

The Sea oh the SEA

if anyone knows me, they know i am drawn to the sea, dispite having nearly drowned 3 times, once in a pond, once in a pool, and once in the cold spring ocean. i fought fear and learned to swim, teaching myself. Still i am drawn to the sea, i love ocean pics, lighthouses, beaches and rocky shores. dont mind salt spray in the face, love the salty taste and smell. even when the wind is strong and waves crash, i am captivated. i am now trying to pass on this to my children, LOVE THE SEA...
